So, I got a chance to work with Kheddar Varhnz of MUD (MakeUp Designory) Nigeria. He was having a series called Look Of The Day (LOTD) and I was his model for his very first look. (Yelz, I model too! Some superwoman sturvs…😏). The look was a Monday look as the professional week starts on that day.
Monday is the opposite of Friday and not many people are excited about that day of the week. But it is actually a start and we can look flawless as well as feel flawless. We don’t want any of that Friday/Saturday hangover showing up at all on our faces. Let’s take you through steps for a Monday glam look.
Nobody want eyebags. Use a good concealer that doesn’t crease or cake up after a few hours. Something lightweight would be perfect. Highlighting and lowlighting a bit will add some definition to your face.
The look should be clean and simple not garish and loud. You don’t want to scare colleagues or clients that haven’t seen you in three whole days😊. So, easy on the eye shadows. Nudes and champagne golds will do.
Lips! Line your lips with a lip pencil to keep your lipstick or lipgloss of choice from going all over the place. I have on nude-ish right now but you can always add an extra ‘vavavoom’ with a brighter or bolder colour.
Finish off with a matte powder that will set your foundation and keep it perfect all day.
A good bronzer in the right places will give you that “from-within” glow.
